Systemic carbon oxide sensor SC-CO/* is a device intended for continuous measurement of carbon oxide concentration
in the range 0-200 ppm or 0-1000 ppm CO (or less on demand) are designed to measure gas content in the atmosphere of
the mine and are suitable for use with gas detection systems as stand alone device monitoring parameters of underground
mines and surface areas where is possibility of explosion of methane or coal dust.
Output signal from the detectors can be, depending on the version
- digital signal FSK,
- voltage signal 0,4 ÷ 2 V or 1÷ 5 V
- frequency coded 5 ÷ 12 kHz.
During measurements the sensor can work only in one selected system, i.e. transmission standard.
SC-CO/* sensor operates in the stand-alone mode and can be supplied from intrinsically safe power supply unit or
intrinsically safe power supply and transmission line of gas detection system.
The sensors is also performing the function of two threshold tripping device, allowing control of external devices via 2
(galvanically isolated) binary outputs. The sensor is also fitted with one binary input which can be used for confirmation of
tripping of an external device.
Two alarm thresholds can be set to specific values in the range 0 ÷ 26 ppm CO.
Exceeding of given alarm threshold causes activation of optical alarm, i.e. flashing red diode, and change in the status of
corresponding output (s) of the sensor.
Green LED signals correct operation of the device..
